Bagnères-de-Bigorre launches cultural season with Brassens tribute

The municipal cultural season in Bagnères-de-Bigorre begins this Friday with ‘Les Étrangers familiers’, a musical tribute to singer-songwriter Georges Brassens performed by the Norman ensemble Les Musiques à Ouïr. The performance reimagines Brassens’ classic tracks through jazz, folk, and blues influences.

The upcoming seasonal program includes a dance performance by the Basque company Bilaka in November, a series of Christmas-themed events in December, and a New Year’s concert in January featuring the Orchestre Mozart de Toulouse.

Due to a vacancy in the position of cultural center director, the season is being managed through a co-programming arrangement. The initial schedule was selected by the former director, while subsequent programming is being handled by cultural manager Colombe Sarazin and Claire Brisson.
