Bahía Blanca Court Orders Heirs to Repay $6,750 Guarantee on Deceased's 2009 Loan

In July 2024 a civil court in Bahía Blanca ruled that the heirs of Ángel must repay the guarantee provided by the Buenos Aires Guarantee Fund (FO.GA.BA SAPEM) for a personal loan taken in 2009. Ángel borrowed 9,000 Argentine pesos from Banco Provincia, with the fund covering 75 % of the amount (6,750 pesos) as a guarantee.

After Ángel’s death in 2024, the court declared his heirs liable for the guaranteed sum plus accrued interest, limited to the assets of the estate. Judge María Fernanda Arzuaga also ordered the heirs to cover court costs. The decision was issued by Civil and Commercial Court No 7 and gave a ten‑day deadline for payment once the judgment becomes final.
