Bahía Blanca expands video surveillance network with 100 new cameras
The Bahía Blanca Security Agency is expanding its video surveillance network, with Director Martín Pacheco confirming that over 1,100 cameras are currently operational and an additional 100 are being installed. This expansion follows requests from local residents and is part of security policies under Mayor Federico Susbielles.
Pacheco noted that the surveillance system has played a critical role in assisting police and judicial investigations. He cited specific instances where footage helped reconstruct the movements of suspects in a femicide investigation and assisted in resolving three recent home invasion cases through coordination with the police GTO and DDI units.
