Bahía Blanca rolls out extensive security operation for World Cup final celebrations

The municipality of Bahía Blanca activated a comprehensive security and emergency plan starting at 6 p.m. on Sunday for the public events surrounding the World Cup final. The deployment includes provincial police, the provincial Security, Emergency and Immediate Response Agency, civil defense units, emergency medical services, health professionals, traffic control, a monitoring centre and fire crews. Police and special units will handle crowd control, while civil defense volunteers are positioned at key points. Ambulances, health stations and a triage area are set up on Paseo Portugal. Traffic restrictions are in place at multiple intersections to ensure the passage of emergency vehicles, and a meeting point for missing children has been established at a civil‑defense gazebo. Portable chemical toilets have also been installed at several locations.

The municipal executive has created a special monitoring centre in the city hall to oversee the operation and coordinate responses to any incidents that may arise during the celebrations.
