Comodoro Rivadavia and Veracruz report emergency rescues

In Comodoro Rivadavia, Argentina, emergency responders and neighbors successfully rescued a dog named Nico after it became trapped in an oil puddle. The animal, found near the coast, was suffering from intoxication and respiratory issues due to the petroleum covering its fur. The rescue involved a joint effort between firefighters, police, and the volunteer group ‘Comodoro Conciencia Activa’. The dog was stabilized and taken to a veterinary clinic for cleaning and observation.

In Mexico, the Secretaría de Marina conducted emergency interventions during ‘Operación Salvavidas Verano 2026’ at the beaches of Veracruz and Boca del Río. Rescuers assisted a 12-year-old child who was swept away by waves at Playa Santa Ana and provided medical aid to an adult experiencing a seizure at Playa Villa del Mar. The naval operation included 77 personnel and multiple vehicles to monitor high-traffic tourist areas.
