Athletico and Bahia prepare for Série A clash

Athletico Paranaense and Bahia are set to face each other this Sunday at Arena da Baixada for the 28th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A. Both teams currently hold 46 points, occupying the third and fourth positions in the standings, respectively.

Bahia has secured the availability of 17-year-old attacker Kauê Furquim following a logistical agreement with the CBF. Although Furquim was called up for the Brazil U-17 squad, he will return to Salvador to train before traveling to Curitiba. His presence is vital as winger Kike Oliveira is suspended due to a third yellow card. Other absences for Bahia include goalkeeper Léo Vieira, midfielder Michel Araújo, and attacker Mateo Sanabria.

Athletico Paranaense will also navigate several absences under coach Odair Hellmann. Midfielder João Cruz and attacker Kevin Viveros are suspended, while defender Benavídez remains sidelined due to injury.
