Bahia and Fortaleza reach Copa do Nordeste Sub-20 final

Bahia and Fortaleza have secured their places in the Copa do Nordeste Sub-20 final following their respective semifinal victories on September 12, 2026.

In the first semifinal held at Arena Cajueiro, Fortaleza defeated Estrela de Março 3-1. This victory allows the Ceará-based club to pursue its third regional title after finishing at the top of Group A earlier in the tournament.

In the second semifinal at the Joia da Princesa stadium, Bahia eliminated Náutico. After a 0-0 draw during regulation time, Bahia won the penalty shootout 4-3 (or 4-2 according to some reports) to advance. The win ended Náutico's undefeated run in the competition. The final matches are expected to take place on September 19 and 26, with official dates to be confirmed by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF).
