Bahia and Portugal partner to attract investment and technology

The Bahia State Government and various Portuguese institutions are coordinating an international partnership to attract investments and foster technological and academic exchange. The initiative involves the Bahia Economic Development Secretariat (SDE), SENAI CIMATEC, the Regional Center of the Port of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, the Católica Porto Business School, and Sustainable Ventures Portugal.

Key areas of focus for the cooperation include the development of the blue economy, strengthening semi-arid productive chains, and exploring opportunities in biogas and biomethane. The partnership also aims to add value to Bahia's cotton industry by leveraging Portuguese expertise in the textile sector to stimulate regional business, employment, and income.
