Bahia boosts tourism with Italian‑Brazilian festival and new transfer service
The municipality of Prado in Bahia will host the inaugural La Dolce Vita Baiana – an Italian‑Brazilian festival – on 14‑15 August 2026 in Guaratiba. Organized by Grupo Guaratiba with SEBRAE support, the event will showcase gastronomy, culture and creative‑economy workshops for local entrepreneurs. President of Grupo Guaratiba Enrico Pelletti said, “Queremos que o destino seja reconhecido pela beleza natural e também pela experiência que oferece,” emphasizing the goal of raising the area's profile.
Separately, transport company Zenon Tour announced a dedicated transfer service from Porto Seguro airport to the coastal village of Caraíva. The service includes airport reception, climate‑controlled vehicles and guided passage across the Rio Caraíva, aiming to make travel to the remote beach destination smoother and safer for tourists.
Both initiatives are part of a broader effort to strengthen Bahia’s tourism offering and attract more visitors to the state’s southern coast.
