Bahia Court of Justice establishes new cooperation and issues public apology

The Court of Justice of the State of Bahia (TJBA) has established a new cooperation workflow with the Federal Highway Police (PRF/BA) to manage seized vehicles. This initiative, coordinated by the Judicial Cooperation Nucleus, addresses demands regarding vehicles under judicial restriction from cases predating the Renajud system. The new process aims to ensure requests are properly registered, routed to competent judicial units, and tracked to improve administrative efficiency and legal speed.

Separately, the President of the TJBA, Judge José Edivaldo Rocha Rotondano, issued a public apology to Solange Borges, a chef and practitioner of Candomblé. The apology follows an incident in Camaçari where a photograph of Borges was removed from an exhibition at the Clemente Mariani Forum at the request of a local judge. Rotondano stated that the Judiciary must act without distinction regarding race, color, or religion, affirming that the institution does not condone such actions.
