Bahia Education Secretariat convokes 180 teachers to state schools

On 25 July, the Secretaria da Educação do Estado da Bahia (SEC) published a notice in the state’s official gazette calling 180 teachers—144 for basic education and 36 for professional education—who were approved in the simplified selection process (Edital SEC/SUDEPE nº 03/2025). The candidates will be hired under the Regime Especial de Direito Administrativo (REDA) on 36‑month contracts with a 20‑hour weekly workload and remuneration set according to class and level.

Applicants must submit scanned copies of required documents (diploma, ID, CPF, residence proof, declaration of no double‑job holding and negative certificates) by e‑mail between 27 July and 7 August. After the preliminary electronic review, they must present original documents in person at the SEC headquarters in Salvador (Avenida Luiz Viana Filho, Centro Administrativo da Bahia) or at the respective Núcleos Territoriais de Educação in the interior. Failure to meet the deadlines or provide complete documentation will result in loss of the hiring opportunity. The move aims to reinforce staffing in Bahia’s state school network and ensure continuity of teaching activities.
