Bahia elects Jerônimo Rodrigues as Governor and secures two Senate seats

In the Bahia state elections, Jerônimo Rodrigues (PT) was re-elected Governor in the first round, securing approximately 55.8% of the valid votes. He defeated challenger ACM Neto (União Brasil), who received roughly 43.7% of the votes. Rodrigues' victory extends the Workers' Party (PT) political dominance in the state, which has been continuous since 2007.

For the Senate, the PT secured both available seats in Bahia. Rui Costa (PT) was elected to his first Senate term with approximately 30% of the votes, while Jaques Wagner (PT) was re-elected to a new eight-year term. They outperformed candidates from the Republicanos and PL parties.

Regarding the Chamber of Deputies, Bahia elected 39 federal deputies for the 2027–2031 term. The PT won the largest individual caucus in the state with seven elected representatives, followed by the PSD and União Brasil with six each.
