Bahia family farming enterprises receive SUSAF/BA certification

Two family farming enterprises in Bahia, Bem Bom Pescados in Malhada and Laticínio Paula in Paramirim, have received certification from the Unified State System of Sanitary Control for Family, Artisanal, and Small-Scale Agro-industries (SUSAF/BA).

This certification allows their products to be marketed throughout the entire state of Bahia, provided they meet established sanitary requirements. The initiative was carried out by the Regional Development and Action Company (CAR), linked to the Secretariat of Rural Development (SDR), in partnership with the Bahia Agricultural Defense Agency (ADAB), local municipalities, and public consortia.

The certification aims to strengthen small-scale agro-industries, value local production, and increase rural income by expanding market access for family farmers.
