Bahia Governor highlights R$ 1.21 billion in regional investments

Bahia Governor Jerônimo Rodrigues highlighted R$ 1.21 billion in investments directed toward the Portal do Sertão region between 2023 and 2026 during a visit to Santo Estêvão. The investments include infrastructure projects for state schools, sports complexes, road improvements, and the implementation of a honey processing unit.

During the event, Rodrigues emphasized the economic importance of Santo Estêvão due to its location along the BR-116 highway. He outlined future proposals for a potential new mandate, focusing on expanding full-time education, strengthening protections for women, combating organized crime, and improving healthcare access through the ‘SUS na Palma das Mãos’ program.
