Bahia launches funding and technical training program registrations

The Bahia state government announced that applications for the Edital Raízes da Bahia are open until Monday, 6 July. The program, managed by the state development agency CAR, allocates R$ 22.5 million to support cassava‑based projects across several regional territories, with individual grants of up to R$ 1.85 million. A related call, the Galinha Caipira da Bahia, also accepts proposals until 10 July for R$ 25.6 million to aid family farms raising native chickens.

The Bahia Secretariat of Education opened free online registrations on 1 July for the Electronic Lottery of vacancies in medium‑level technical courses. Interested candidates can apply through the official portal until 14 July, with priority given to public‑school graduates. The lottery will be held on 15 July, results announced the same day, and successful applicants must enroll between 17 and 20 July.
