Bahia mineral potential attracts interest at China mining conference

The Companhia Baiana de Pesquisa Mineral (CBPM) presented significant mineral research findings at the 28th China Mining Conference and Exhibition in Tianjin. The data revealed that areas discovered in Bahia in November 2023 contain concentrations of terbium and dysprosium that are up to three times higher than the global average.

These magnetic elements are considered strategic for high-tech industries and the global energy transition. CBPM President Henrique Carballal noted that the findings drew significant interest from international delegations and major global mining companies, including representatives from China.
