Bahia officials secure education and agriculture funding for Canavieiras and Uauá

Tiago Souza, the municipal Secretary of Education for Canavieiras in southern Bahia, traveled to Salvador to meet with officials at the state Sports Superintendence (SUDESB) and the State Education Secretariat. The delegation presented demands for school sports events, renovations of multipurpose courts, new computer equipment for laboratories, school furniture and musical instruments for the municipal fanfare.

In Uauá, the State Rural Development Secretariat, through the Regional Development and Action Company, delivered a series of infrastructure projects and equipment for family farming. Works included the renovation of the municipal market, the upgrade of a goat‑milk processing unit, the construction of 38 rain‑water storage trenches, the restoration of a community dam, and the distribution of tractors, market stalls and land titles to local producers. Secretary of Rural Development Elisabete Costa highlighted the actions as a boost to rural communities and agricultural productivity.
