Bahia opens free technical school enrollment and driver‑license upgrade program

The state of Bahia has opened online registrations for free technical courses in the public education network. Applicants must have completed high school and apply by 14 July; selections will be made by an electronic lottery on 15 July, with enrollment scheduled for mid‑July. Priority is given to candidates who attended public schools or received full‑scholarship private education.

Separately, Bahia’s “Mais Motoristas” initiative offers free coverage of fees for drivers to change their licence to categories C, D or E. The program, administered by SEST SENAT, targets applicants aged 19 or older who meet basic eligibility criteria and gives priority to CadÚnico registrants and women. Available in several municipalities—including Salvador, Feira de Santana, Simões Filho, Vitória da Conquista and Alagoinhas—applications are also submitted online.
