Bahia police and Alagoas fire corps recruitment exams under review
The Bahia state government says the planned recruitment exam for police soldiers remains under evaluation, with no official authorization yet issued. While the police commander has spoken of a possible 2026 edital for 2,500 vacancies, the state secretary confirmed the process is still being analyzed.
In Alagoas, the 2026 fire corps exam will offer 172 immediate positions and 172 reserve spots for officers, combat soldiers and motor‑mechanic soldiers. The objective test, scheduled for 11 October in Arapiraca and Maceió, will consist of 120 true‑or‑false questions covering basic subjects such as Portuguese, English, IT, mathematics, logic, legislation and human rights, as well as specific technical knowledge for each role.
