Diego Pereira dos Santos arrested in Rio Branco homicide investigation
Diego Pereira dos Santos was arrested on 30 July by the Delegacia de Homicídios e Proteção à Pessoa (DHPP) in Rio Branco, Acre. The operation took place on Rua Pau d’Arco in the Portal da Amazônia neighbourhood. He is accused of taking part in the execution of Makcilano dos Santos Feitosa, 31, who was shot dead on 24 June at a workshop on Rua Aracaju, Valdemar Maciel, Calafate, Rio Branco. The arrest followed a preventive warrant issued by the 1ª Vara do Tribunal do Júri of Rio Branco. Diego was taken to the DHPP headquarters and remains in custody pending judicial proceedings. The case also involves André de Melo Silva, also 24, who was injured during the crime and later apprehended.
