Bahia Public Defender's Office holds legal seminar on SUS health demands

The Public Defender's Office of the State of Bahia held a legal immersion session in Itaberaba focused on the Unified Health System (SUS). The meeting addressed the legal implications of public health service provision and the judicialization of medication supply.

Discussions centered on specific rulings from the Supreme Federal Court (STF), specifically Theme 6 and Theme 1,234. Theme 6 establishes criteria for the judicial granting of medications registered with Anvisa that have not yet been incorporated into SUS supply lists. Theme 1,234 addresses the responsibility of the Union and the jurisdiction of Federal Justice in legal actions requesting such medications.
