Bahia state government opens Mais Futuro program applications

The Bahia state government is accepting applications for the Mais Futuro program until September 18. The initiative provides financial assistance to students in situations of socioeconomic vulnerability enrolled in in-person undergraduate courses at state higher education institutions.

Eligible universities include the State University of Bahia (UNEB), the State University of Feira de Santana (UEFS), the State University of Santa Cruz (UESC), and the State University of Southwest Bahia (UESB). The program offers three types of assistance: a Basic Profile providing R$ 400 monthly for students living within 100 kilometers of campus; a Housing Profile providing R$ 800 monthly for those living more than 100 kilometers away who have relocated; and a Complementary Profile for beneficiaries of other institutional aids.

To qualify, applicants must have a monthly per capita family income of up to half a minimum wage and a total family income of up to three minimum wages. Candidates must also have an updated registration in the Federal Government's Cadastro Único (CadÚnico) from the last two years. Applicants cannot have an employment bond, have completed another higher education course, or hold certain state public internship scholarships.
