Bahia Treasury Department expands reserve list for public exam

The Secretary of Administration for Bahia's Secretaria da Fazenda, Rodrigo Pimentel, announced that the reserve list for the upcoming public exam will be enlarged to two or three times the number of immediate vacancies. The competition will initially offer 200 positions – 100 for auditor fiscal and 100 for state tax agents – and the reserve list could contain between 400 and 600 candidates, allowing the agency to call on additional approved applicants during the exam’s validity period.

The number of immediate openings for the tax‑agent role has also been raised from 87 to 100. The public notice (edital) is expected to be published by September or, at the latest, October, with the written tests projected for late 2026 or early 2027. The expanded reserve aims to address the current shortfall of roughly 1,500 staff in the department and to provide flexibility for future hiring needs.
