Bahian athletes advance in Canoe Sprint World Championships

Athletes from southern Bahia, Brazil, achieved strong results during the first day of the Canoe Sprint and Paracanoe World Championships in Poznan, Poland.

Isaquias Queiroz won both of his qualifying heats in the C1M1000m and C1M500m categories, securing spots in the semifinals. In the 1000m event, he finished with a time of 4min13s84. Gabriel Nascimento also advanced to the semifinals after winning his C1M200m heat with a time of 42s97.

Upcoming competitions include Gabriel Nascimento competing in the C2M500m alongside Jacky Godmann, and Gabriel Porto participating in the KL3M200m paracanoe event.
