Bahian football clubs announce infrastructure expansion projects
Two football clubs from Bahia, Juazeirense and Jacuipense, have announced plans to enhance their physical infrastructure to support growth and athlete development.
Juazeirense is considering the construction of a new arena in Juazeiro with a capacity for approximately 15,000 spectators. The project, estimated to cost between R$ 18 million and R$ 20 million, was discussed during the 2027 Bahia Championship Technical Council. While the club initially considered renovating the Adauto Moraes Stadium for R$ 8 million, leadership is now evaluating a new build. The project involves potential partnerships with the Bahia State Government, the Juazeiro City Hall, and State Deputy Roberto Carlos. The proposed arena is intended to host both football matches and artistic events.
Jacuipense is focusing on returning to the Arena Valfredão in Riachão do Jacuípe, with structural work nearing completion and lighting expected to be installed soon. The club is also managing pitch maintenance amid local water scarcity. Additionally, Jacuipense plans to establish a new training center in Salvador to further its focus on youth categories and player development, maintaining a close partnership with Palmeiras for player transitions.
