Bahian Football Federation discusses reinstating Fan Special Court
The Bahian Football Federation (FBF) held a meeting in Salvador to discuss the reactivation of the Special Court for Fans and Large Events. The initiative aims to reinstall the court at Arena Fonte Nova and establish a new service point at Estádio Manoel Barradas.
Judges and legal representatives from various Brazilian states attended the meeting to share experiences regarding the use of these courts to prevent conflicts and provide rapid legal responses during sporting events. The goal is to have these structures fully operational in time for the 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup.
Discussions also addressed stadium violence and the possibility of returning to mixed fan attendance for the Bahia versus Vitória derbies, which are currently held under single-fan restrictions. FBF President Ricardo Lima and Vice-President Manfredo Lessa expressed support for the initiative to improve security and legal oversight in regional football.
