Bahrain and Kuwait pursue tourism and visa cooperation
Bahrain and Kuwait are working to strengthen tourism ties and diversify travel offerings through increased bilateral cooperation. During recent discussions between Bahrain’s Minister of Tourism, Fatima Al-Sairafi, and Kuwait’s Ambassador to Bahrain, Jassem Al-Najem, officials explored ways to exchange expertise and launch joint initiatives to promote intra-Gulf travel.
In a separate diplomatic effort, Russia is negotiating visa-free entry agreements with both Bahrain and Kuwait to expand tourism and business travel. While these negotiations aim to build on existing frameworks used by other Gulf nations, no official implementation dates or specific terms regarding the length of stay have been announced. Currently, existing entry requirements remain in effect for travelers.
