Bahrain Bourse weekly trades reach 3 million dinars

Bahrain Bourse reported weekly trading activity totaling approximately 8.9 million shares with a value of 3.05 million Bahraini dinars, executed through 651 transactions.

The Bahrain General Index closed at 1,851.61 points, representing a decrease of 24.40 points or 1.3% compared to its previous close. The Bahrain Islamic Index also declined by 2.09% to reach 854.70 points.

The financial sector led trading value, accounting for 63.16% of the total with 1.9 million dinars traded. The telecommunications sector followed, representing 20.80% of the total value. Among individual companies, National Bank of Bahrain led in value with 955,000 dinars, followed by Beyon and Salam Bank.
