Bahrain Crown Prince receives Yemeni Foreign Minister

Bahraini Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa received Yemen’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Afrah Al-Zouba, during her official visit to the Kingdom. The meeting included the delivery of a written message from Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council Chairman, Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, addressed to King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

Discussions focused on strengthening bilateral relations and historical cooperation between Bahrain and Yemen. The officials also addressed regional developments, specifically the security situation in Yemen and the impact of Houthi militia escalations on maritime navigation in the Red Sea, Bab el-Mandeb, and the Strait of Hormuz. The talks emphasized the interconnectedness of security in Yemen, the Gulf, and the Red Sea, as well as the implications for global trade, energy supplies, and food security.

Minister Al-Zouba expressed appreciation for Bahrain’s support of the Yemeni government and its role within the coalition supporting legitimacy. The meeting concluded with discussions on expanding economic, commercial, and developmental cooperation between the two nations.
