Bahrain Football Association apologizes after appeal rejection

The Bahrain Football Association has issued an apology to its fans following the rejection of its appeal by the Gulf Football Association’s Appeals Committee. The protest concerned the participation of Qatari player Asim Madbo during the match between Bahrain and Qatar in the 27th Arabian Gulf Cup.

While the committee accepted the appeal in form, it rejected it on its merits, upholding the previous decision made by the Disciplinary and Ethics Committee. The Bahraini association expressed regret that several key arguments and defenses, which they considered central to the legal case, were not addressed in the ruling.

Despite the outcome, the association emphasized that it has not waived its rights and remains committed to pursuing all available legal measures to defend the Bahraini national team and ensure fair competition.
