Bahrain Shura Council to prioritize AI and digital economy laws

Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, stated that the royal decree extending the legislative term to a fifth session provides an opportunity to complete the study of various draft laws.

Key legislative priorities include regulations regarding artificial intelligence, the digital economy, public health, traffic, identity cards, and real estate rentals. The Council aims to align these laws with rapid developmental changes and economic growth while ensuring legal stability.

Al Saleh also emphasized the importance of coordination between the legislative and executive branches, as well as integration between the Shura and Representative Councils to support Bahrain's competitiveness and attract investment through digital and green economy initiatives.
