Bahrain Space Agency opens registration for NASA Space Apps Challenge 2026

The Bahrain Space Agency has opened registration for the NASA Space Apps Challenge 2026. This marks the eighth consecutive year the Kingdom of Bahrain has hosted the event.

Scheduled for November 14 and 15, 2026, the hackathon will be held simultaneously across three academic locations: the University of Bahrain (Sakhir Campus), Bahrain Polytechnic (Isa Town Campus), and Kingdom University (Riffa Campus). Organized by the Bahrain Space Agency under NASA supervision, the event invites multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions to space-related challenges using NASA’s open data and resources.

Participants will engage in a 48-hour intensive session involving space science, programming, engineering, design, and entrepreneurship. Beyond skill development, competitors have the opportunity to win awards and potentially qualify for NASA’s global awards for outstanding projects.
