Bahri Logistics and Red Sea Global sign MoU for strategic cooperation

Bahri Logistics, the integrated logistics arm of Saudi Arabia’s national shipping company, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Red Sea Global. The agreement aims to expand their existing partnership to support the developer’s regenerative tourism destinations and broader operational requirements in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030.

The MoU was signed during the launch of the Bahri Logistics Bonded Zone at Jeddah Islamic Port, a hub designed for integrated bonded storage and customs facilitation.

However, Saudi Arabia’s strategic goal of transforming its Red Sea coast into a global logistics and tourism hub faces challenges due to maritime instability. Recent naval restrictions and the targeting of tankers near major ports like Yanbu and Jeddah have introduced risks to shipping and increased marine insurance premiums. This instability creates uncertainty for investors and may impact the competitive edge of major industrial ports and mega-projects in the region.
