In Constanța, a musician was caught driving 148 km/h in a 50 km/h zone on Tomis Boulevard, leading to a 1,946 lei fine and a four-month license suspension. Similar high-speed incidents were recorded in Câmpulung, where a driver reached 137 km/h, and on the DN 73 in Argeș, where a motorcyclist and a car driver were caught at 122 km/h and 127 km/h respectively.
In Baia Mare, the local municipality was fined over 4,500 lei by the Traffic Police for installing a metal-spiked speed limiter on a public road without the necessary authorization. This device was intended to prevent wrong-way driving but was deemed a hazard to vehicle tires. Additionally, police in Hunedoara conducted widespread checks, resulting in multiple arrests for driving without a license and driving under the influence of alcohol.
