Baia Mare hosts cultural event honoring author Ben. Corlaciu

The Petre Dulfu County Library in Baia Mare is hosting a cultural event titled ‘Ben. Corlaciu – in his fertile eternities’. Organized in collaboration with the Ben. Corlaciu Association and the Groșii Țibleșului Town Hall, the event aims to rediscover the life and work of the significant post-war Romanian author.

Moderated by Professor Teodor Ardelean, the event includes guest speaker Ana Christina Corlaciu, the author's daughter. The program highlights Corlaciu's deep connection to the Maramureș region, specifically the area around Groșii Țibleșului where his mother originated. The commemoration touches upon his experiences with communist censorship and exile, noting his enduring emotional ties to his childhood home in Romania even while living in Paris.
