Baia Mare prepares for school return and ongoing roadworks

Baia Mare residents face several changes starting September 1, including the return of students to school. The 2026-2027 school year is scheduled to begin on Monday, September 7.

Traffic in the city is expected to increase during morning and afternoon hours due to the start of classes. Additionally, ongoing utility works will continue through the month. Specifically, sewage network repairs on Dumbravei Street are scheduled to last until September 30, 2026. Gas network interventions on Valea Borcutului Street are also expected to continue until October 1, 2026.
