Medical and cultural institutions in Romania and Moldova announce new programs and staffing

Various medical and cultural institutions in Romania and Moldova are announcing new initiatives and staffing needs.

In Romania, several hospitals are addressing specialist shortages. Spitalul Municipal Târnăveni is recruiting an obstetrician-gynecologist, while Spitalul Municipal Câmpulung has reopened recruitment for the same specialty to ensure continuity of care and on-call shifts. Additionally, Spitalul Municipal Săcele is seeking specialist and primary physicians in medical oncology.

On the scientific front, the Bacău County Emergency Hospital is hosting the first edition of the “Bacău Pediatric Surgery Days” from October 7–10, featuring international experts to discuss minimally invasive versus open surgery.

Cultural and community activities are also expanding. The “Petre Dulfu” County Library in Baia Mare is hosting professional colloquiums and book launches, while the “Dr. Constantin Opriș” County Emergency Hospital in Baia Mare will host an art exhibition by local sculptors and painters. In Chișinău, Moldova, the “B. P. Hasdeu” Municipal Library network is offering over 190 programs across 27 branches to serve diverse age groups.

In Moldova, SAMU Criuleni was recognized as the “Best AMU Team” during a ceremony for emergency medical assistance employees.
