BAIC's Arcfox T1 electric hatch targeted for Brazil launch, price up to R$125,000

Chinese automaker BAIC is preparing to introduce its Arcfox T1 electric hatch in Brazil, with a projected market debut in 2026. Early estimates place the price between R$109,000 and R$125,000, positioning the model against competitors such as BYD Dolphin and Geely EX2. The T1 offers a compact footprint (4.34 m long) but generous interior space, a 459‑litre trunk that expands to 1,352 litres, and battery options delivering 320 km to 425 km of CLTC range – roughly 350 km in realistic Brazilian conditions. Charging from 30 % to 80 % can be achieved in about 17 minutes with suitable fast chargers.

BAIC’s Brazil chief operating officer, Oswaldo Ramos, emphasized a “multienergy” strategy at the e‑Days 2026 event, noting that plug‑in hybrids will complement pure‑electric models due to local infrastructure and consumer preferences. The company plans to offer a mix of fully electric, plug‑in hybrid, and other electrified architectures to capture a broader segment of the Brazilian market.
