Baikal confectionery opens 2026 Christmas cake reservations

Baikal, a confectionery shop founded in Shimogamo, Kyoto, in 1955, has announced that reservations for its 2026 Christmas cake lineup will begin on October 16, 2026.

The selection includes a new premium cake featuring chocolate and banana designed to resemble Santa Claus delivering presents, as well as a raspberry mousse cake and traditional fresh cream cakes. A large-scale specialty cake named ‘Grand Noel’ is also available for reservation, intended to serve approximately 50 to 55 people, with delivery options available within Kyoto City.

In-store early bird discounts of 10% are available for whole cakes priced at 3,500 yen or more when reserved and paid for by November 30, 2026. Reservations can be made online or at physical stores until December 19, 2026.
