Bailey Taylor accuses Barstool Sports of copying her brand

Summer House star Bailey Taylor has accused Barstool Sports and its founder, Dave Portnoy, of repeatedly copying her “It Girl” brand. In a social media statement, Taylor alleged that the media company is replicating her street-style interview series, which involves asking celebrities about “It Girl” trends.

Taylor clarified that while she does not claim to have invented the term “It Girl,” she claims to have developed a specific street-interview format and podcast centered on the concept. She noted that Barstool’s “It Girl” account uses captions that are an “identical copy” of her own. Taylor also claimed that Barstool employees had been monitoring her social media content prior to the company rebranding its “Chicks” account to “It Girl” in 2023.

This follows a previous dispute where Portnoy dismissed Taylor’s earlier claims of brand theft. As of the latest reports, neither Portnoy nor Barstool Sports has issued a public response to these new allegations.
