Başiskele Municipality expands women's social centers

Başiskele Municipality is expanding its ‘Gün Evi’ project, which provides dedicated social spaces for women to meet and organize community activities. Construction is currently underway for a second center in the Kullar Yakacık neighborhood.

The project, coordinated by the municipality's Directorate of Women and Family Services, aims to establish a total of five such centers across the district. The first center is already operational in the Körfez neighborhood on Mahmut Çavuş Street.

The new facility in Kullar Yakacık is designed to accommodate 30 people and will operate using a reservation system with two daily sessions: one in the morning and one in the afternoon. To facilitate gatherings, the municipality will provide tea, coffee, and service supplies such as plates, glasses, and cutlery, requiring residents to bring only the food they wish to serve.
