Baja 400 off-road race held in Ensenada with 163 international teams

The seventh edition of the SCORE Baja 400 off-road race took place in Baja California, featuring 163 teams from 13 different countries. The competition covered approximately 400 miles through diverse terrains, including deserts, mountains, streams, and technical dirt roads, passing through locations such as Ensenada, Ojos Negros, and Valle de la Trinidad.

To manage the event, the Government of Ensenada implemented a special security operation involving municipal public security, civil protection, and fire departments, in coordination with state and federal authorities. Officials, including Mayor Claudia Agatón Muñiz and Public Security Director Alejandro Monreal Noriega, announced a zero-tolerance policy regarding risky behaviors or disruptions to public order.

Authorities issued specific safety guidelines for spectators, urging them to respect traffic regulations, avoid entering the competition route, and refrain from standing near curves or high-speed sections. Civil Protection Director Julio César Obregón Angulo also advised against entering the track to assist in accidents due to the danger posed by moving vehicles and low visibility caused by dust.
