Baja Beach Fest drives 100% hotel occupancy in Rosarito

The Baja Beach Fest 2026 in Playas de Rosarito concluded with significant economic gains and a reported ‘saldo blanco’ (no major crimes). The festival attracted approximately 25,000 attendees per day.

According to the Asociación de Hoteles y Moteles de Playas de Rosarito (AMHM), the event drove hotel occupancy to nearly 100%, with an average occupancy of 97% over the three-day period. The daily average rate (ADR) saw an increase of approximately 18.6% compared to the previous edition. The economic impact in lodging alone is estimated at 72 million pesos, benefiting hotels, Airbnb hosts, and local businesses including restaurants and transport services.

Security authorities, including the Secretaría de Seguridad Ciudadana de Baja California, reported that coordinated efforts between federal, state, and municipal agencies—including the Navy and National Guard—maintained order. While 35 individuals were detained for minor administrative infractions, no high-impact crimes were reported during the event.
