DIF Victoria and National DIF provide aid to families and elderly

The Sistema DIF Victoria has completed the third distribution of food supplies under its ‘Voluntad de Ayudar a las Familias’ program. This initiative benefited 2,947 people across urban and rural areas of the state capital. Lucy de Gattás, president of the organization, stated that these actions are part of a permanent effort to support families, with a focus on the elderly, people with disabilities, women, and children.

In a separate effort to promote active aging, the Sistema Nacional DIF delivered 40 equipment kits to the Sistema DIF Tamaulipas. These kits, containing over 4,000 items such as board games, medical supplies, and multimedia tools, are intended to strengthen the ‘Escuela de Mayores’ project. The initiative aims to provide community spaces for recreation, memory stimulation, and social interaction for older adults.
