Baja California announces 3,000 new high school spaces for women

The Government of Baja California has announced the creation of 3,000 new free spaces for women to complete their high school education. This initiative follows a ceremony where 300 women beneficiaries of the Tarjeta Violeta program received their high school certificates.

Governor Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda stated that these educational opportunities are intended to strengthen women's autonomy and improve conditions for their families and communities. The Secretary of Welfare, Felipe de Jesús Gamboa Valdez, noted that the government aims to reach a total of 5,000 beneficiaries by the end of 2026. The new spaces will be available across the seven municipalities of Baja California, with registration options through various welfare centers and participating campuses.
