Baja California approves law for pediatric cancer treatment

The Baja California State Congress has unanimously approved the Law for the Timely and Integral Detection and Treatment of Cancer in Childhood and Adolescence. This new legal framework establishes mandatory guidelines for the prevention, diagnosis, registration, treatment, and rehabilitation of pediatric and adolescent cancer patients.

Proposed by Deputy Daylín García Ruvalcaba, the law aims to reduce mortality rates through epidemiological surveillance and standardized medical care. The legislation also emphasizes the importance of psychological support and institutional accompaniment for families throughout the various stages of the disease.
