Baja California authorities arrest man for alleged sexual assault of a minor

Authorities in Baja California have arrested Filiberto “N” in Sonora for his alleged involvement in the improper rape of a minor in Tijuana. The arrest was carried out by the State Investigation Agency (AEI) in coordination with the Criminal Investigation Ministerial Agency (AMIC) of Sonora.

The incident originally occurred on July 4, 2026, in the Maclovio Rojas ejido in Tijuana, following reports from the victim's family. The suspect was located and detained in San Luis Río Colorado, Sonora, on July 30, 2026, and has since been transferred back to Baja California to face judicial proceedings.
