Baja California guarantees CEART Ensenada land will remain a cultural space

Baja California Governor Marina del Pilar Avila Olmeda has guaranteed that the land occupied by the Centro Estatal de las Artes (CEART) in Ensenada will remain dedicated to cultural use. This decision follows requests from the local artistic community to preserve the site for arts and expression.

To ensure ongoing dialogue, the Governor instructed Cabinet Coordinator Ariel Lizárraga Montero and Culture Secretary Alma Delia Ábrego Ceballos to hold weekly meetings with representatives of the artistic sector. While there were previous discussions regarding infrastructure needs for the justice system, the government stated it will seek alternative locations to avoid altering the cultural purpose of the CEART premises.
