Baja California hosts summits on AI leadership and construction innovation

Two professional and academic summits are taking place in Baja California, focusing on technological integration and industrial innovation.

The Arhitac Congress 2026 is scheduled for October 9 at the Baja California Center in Playas de Rosarito. Organized by the Tijuana Tourism and Conventions Committee (Cotuco), the event will focus on the intersection of artificial intelligence and emotional intelligence. The program aims to help human resources departments become more strategic by balancing automation with human skills like empathy, critical thinking, and conscious leadership.

Simultaneously, the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California (UABC) is hosting the Third Latin American Meeting of Student Chapters of the American Concrete Institute (ACI). Running from September 9 to 12, the event brings together approximately 220 students and professionals from Mexico and Latin America. Discussions will center on the evolution of concrete, focusing on sustainable solutions, low-carbon materials, and durability in the face of climate change and natural disasters.
