Baja California Institute of Psychiatry provides 22,000 mental health services
The Institute of Psychiatry of the State of Baja California (IPEBC) has provided 22,620 services through its specialized clinic for the mental health of children and adolescents. Víctor Salvador Rico Hernández, the general director of IPEBC, emphasized that emotional well-being is essential for integral development, learning, and social coexistence.
To mitigate risks such as depression, anxiety, and stress caused by conflictive family environments or social isolation, the institute promotes early intervention and emotional intelligence. Specialized care is available at no cost; patients can access services by visiting their nearest health center to request a referral to the institution. Additionally, a confidential 24-hour helpline, Line 075, is available for support.
